féminins pratiquée pour des raisons culturelles ou religieuses ou pour
toute autre raison non thérapeutique.

- Introduction de substances corrosives ou de plantes dans le vagin
pour provoquer des saignements ou pour resserrer ou rétrécir le
vagin ;
- Toute autre intervention qui répond à la définition des mutilations
sexuelles donnée plus haut.

- La forme la plus courante de mutilation sexuelle féminine est l'excision
du clitoris et des petites lèvres, pratiquée dans presque tous les cas
(jusqu'à 80 %) ; la forme la plus extrême est l'infibulation, pratiquée
dans 15 % environ des cas.

- Female genital mutilation comprises all procedures that involve
partial or total removal of the female external genitalia and/or
injury to the female genital organs for cultural or any other
non-therapeutic reasons.

- Iintroduction of corrosive substances or herbs into the vagina
to cause bleeding or for the purposes of tightening or narrowing it

- Any other procedure that fall under the definition of female genital
mutilation given above.
